Safe water is necessary for health and well- being of disadvantaged communities and is a basic human right. Historically, in industrialized countries, virtually all diseases, such as cholera, and typhoid fever were eliminated in communities where safe and clean drinking water was made available.
PRESED Collaborates with partners in the WASH sector to provide and promote potable water, hygiene and sanitation to less priviledged communities. Partners have committed to provide access to safe water and sanitation as one the thematic area of focus in deprived communities. Majority of schools, healthcare facilities and communities especially in the rural areas in Ghana, have limited access to clean water despite interventions from the government, benevolent individuals and Institutions. This condition impacts millions of Ghanaians at a time when hand washing is crucial to reducing the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
